During plastic processing, oxidised polyethylene wax can serve as an internal lubricant. It is compatible with plastic resins, reducing intermolecular friction in the molten state to enhance melt flow and processing properties.
In the coatings and inks sector, polyethylene oxide wax is predominantly employed as an external lubricant. In these applications, it forms a smooth film on the surface of coatings or ink layers, minimising friction between the coating and substrate or between multiple coating layers.
