Barbed Wire – Galvanized, Stainless Steel, and PVC Coated Fencing
Barbed wire is available in different wire gauge combinations to suit different fencing needs. The first number refers to the line wire gauge, and the second number refers to the barb wire gauge. Common combinations include 10# x 12# and 12# x 12# for heavier livestock fencing and permanent farm boundaries where stronger wire is needed. 12# x 14# and 14# x 14# are medium-duty options used for pasture fencing, plantation protection, and general agricultural use. 14# x 16# and 16# x 16# are lighter gauges used for temporary fencing, garden boundaries, and land marking where the fence does not need to contain heavy animals.
Barbed Wire is used for farm fencing, pasture boundary, plantation protection, industrial land, and general perimeter fencing. Common options include hot dipped galvanized wire, electro galvanized wire, stainless steel wire, PVC coated wire, and PE coated wire. The regular Iowa type has two twisted line wires with four-point barbs. Barb spacing is usually 3″ to 6″, or 7.5 cm to 15 cm, with normal tolerance around ±1/2″. Coil packing is commonly 12 kg to 25 kg per coil. Wire gauge, coating type, barb spacing, coil weight, and color can be confirmed according to order.
