The core value of microcrystalline wax in industry lies in its high melting point, flexibility, strong lipophilicity, and excellent adhesive properties. Its industrial applications are mainly concentrated in the following aspects:
Rubber and tire industry: used as softeners, plasticizers, and anti-chapping agents. Adding microcrystalline wax (often blended with paraffin wax) to rubber can improve its flexibility and cold resistance, prevent powdering or cracking on the surface of products, and facilitate mold release.
Hot melt adhesives and binders: Utilizing their flexibility and bonding strength, they are used to manufacture heat-seal materials and melt adhesive materials, imparting better flexibility and impact resistance to adhesives. They are commonly used in packaging, labeling, and laminating materials.
