Hexagonal wire netting is available in different mesh openings to suit different applications. Smaller openings such as 1/2" and 5/8" are used for poultry cages, small animal enclosures, and garden protection where the mesh needs to contain small birds or keep out small pests. Medium openings such as 3/4" and 1" are common choices for farm fencing, garden boundaries, and general light partition work
Hexagonal Wire Netting is woven from low carbon steel wire, galvanized wire or PVC coated galvanized wire. It is commonly used for poultry fencing, garden protection, light partition mesh, plaster support, insulation covering and stone cage work. The mesh has a hexagonal opening and can be made with straight twist or reverse twist. For outdoor use, hot dipped galvanized and PVC coated types are more common. Light rolls are easy to cut and install. Heavy type hexagonal wire netting is used where thicker wire and better shape retention are required, such as gabion baskets and slope protection.
