Fischer-Tropsch wax can be used in plastics processing, such as injection molding, extrusion, and pelletizing. During the production of color masterbatches and modified plastics, Fischer-Tropsch wax aids in the dispersion of fillers and provides excellent slip properties during mixing. It can be used as an external lubricant for PVC; its low viscosity increases production speed and aids in the dispersion of pigments and fillers during mixing. It performs particularly well in the extrusion of high-viscosity systems, requiring 40–50% less addition than ordinary PE wax, while significantly enhancing the surface gloss of the finished product. When using concentrated colors, molten Fischer-Tropsch wax can effectively wet the dyes and reduce extrusion viscosity.
