Plastics processing: During injection moulding and extrusion of PVC, masterbatches, engineering plastics, etc., Fischer-Tropsch wax may be directly incorporated into resins as an external lubricant and release agent. It migrates to the melt surface, forming a lubricating layer between the product and mould to facilitate release while enhancing surface gloss and smoothness.
metal Die Casting: In die casting processes for aluminium, magnesium, zinc and other alloys, Fischer-Tropsch wax is commonly emulsified into water-based release agents.
Hot-melt adhesive pelletisation: Fischer-Tropsch wax can be applied as a separating agent or anti-blocking agent. It is either dusted as a fine powder onto freshly produced hot-melt adhesive pellets or dispersed in water for underwater pelletisation processes. This prevents the pellets from clumping together during storage and transportation.
