Improving Texture and Performance
Microcrystalline wax enhances candle hardness and surface smoothness while improving flexibility and extensibility, preventing cracking or deformation. For instance, adding hard microcrystalline wax increases paraffin's hardness and gloss, while soft microcrystalline wax is suitable for soft waxes like beeswax, improving demolding and reducing bubbles.
Enhancing Adhesion and Stability
Microcrystalline wax blends well with various waxes (e.g., soy wax, paraffin). By adjusting the melting point (e.g., using food-grade microcrystalline wax with a melting point below 60°C), it improves the adhesion of essential oils or decorative materials while reducing white streaks and cup separation issues.
Extended Burn Time
Candles containing microcrystalline wax burn more stably, resist dripping or black soot, and exhibit higher combustion efficiency.
