In plastic processing, micronized wax primarily serves as a highly effective internal and external lubricant and dispersant. By reducing melt viscosity, improving flow properties, and enhancing demolding performance, it significantly optimizes processing efficiency and the surface quality of the finished products.
External Lubrication: Micronized wax has low compatibility with polymers and easily migrates to the interface between the melt and the metal mold, forming a barrier layer that reduces frictional heat, prevents mold sticking, and improves the smoothness of demolding.
Internal Lubrication: Some modified micronized wax exhibit a certain degree of compatibility with resins. They can insert themselves between polymer chains to weaken intermolecular forces, thereby reducing melt viscosity and improving plasticization.
Dispersion Aid: Their ultrafine particle size allows them to uniformly coat pigments or fillers, preventing agglomeration and improving the dispersion uniformity of color masterbatches or filled systems.
