Swimming Pool Safety Fence Australian Standard A.S.1926.1
Australian Standard A.S.1926.1 refers to the safety standards for swimming pool fencing in Australia. This standard is part of a series designed to enhance the safety of swimming pools and spas, particularly to protect children from the dangers of drowning or injury. The standards include requirements for the design, construction, and performance of fencing for swimming pools and spas, including the height and strength of barriers, the gaps allowed between vertical elements, the self-closing and self-latching mechanisms of gates, and the non-climbability of the fence.
